When thinking of beautiful tropical places to tie the knot, Florida and the Caribbean are top destinations. Setting the tone for this Vintage Tropical Glam styled shoot, was the inspiration of old Key West. The Veranda at Thornton Park and its colorful homes, reminiscent of old Key West reminds us of its beauty and charm. The venue is nestled in the heart of Orlando, in the charming Thornton Park area.
There is a thin line between a cliché tropical wedding and a lovely combination of elements creating a rather unique style wedding. The color pallet emerald, gold, black and white were perfectly paired to reflect glamour, the sun and lush greenery of the tropics. Vintage, Tropical and Glam inspiration is incorporated in the decor, fashion, as well as hair and makeup. These delightful details were captured by Wings of Glory Photography.
An outdoor setting with the greenery hedge wall and gold laser cut monogram was the focal point framed by white chiffon draping swagged with tropical palm accents. Two large floral arrangements in gold vintage vases were incorporated to bring contrast between the greenery, gold elements and draping.
For the reception, a squared table was dressed with a sequin gold table cloth. To complete the design, a tablescape of greenery and tropical floral in vintage gold bud vases along with black tapered candles in elegant crystal candle holders were accompanied by black and white plates atop gold beaded glass charger plates. Elegant white menu cards with gold foil tropical leaf design from Minted.com, completed the look of the place setting. Two types of clear chiavari chairs were used for seating to compliment the glass chargers and crystal candle holders.
The emerald green and gold tropical glam wedding cake tied in perfectly with the theme. Additionally, a vintage gold photo frame was used to displayed the wedding cake. It was placed on a gold table surrounded by lush green palms.
Nothing spells vintage, tropical glam better than a classic convertible car by Cole’s Classic Cars Orlando. Oh yes and it’s green to coincide with the theme.
To make this shoot extra special, this couple is actually a real-life duo. The bride is dressed in a long elegant gown with a tropical feather hair piece to match the design of the bridal bouquet, while the groom is dressed in a classic black and white tuxedo. The love they share is undeniable and so beautifully captured in the photos.
